memphis, nashville, tennessee

a week away anywhere else in the world couldn't have been better. we took the longest time deciding where our roadtrip would take us this year, and tennessee was exactly where we were meant to be. southern bound, stopping on whims and taking our time led us directly into the heart of the south where we savored all things unhealthy - from biscuits and pancakes to sweet tea and cheese dip, found alongside all things reinvigorating - from 80 sunshinin' degrees and plantations to funky shops and thrift store finds and ultimately orchestrated the rekindling of a most sacred and treasured friendship (at a most crucial moment). i could write a book about it all, but time alludes me presently. on the long drive home, i felt so bittersweetly satisfied looking back at the laughter and adventures, but aching to leave a beautiful city with friends that will always be more like family to me.
